We are extremely devastated to say that Alivia Schwab’s battle with mental illness of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, came to an end on Friday, September 29th. Alivia leaves behind 3 children 18 and under, Nick, Nathan, and Stacie. She loved her children very much and tried very hard to get better for them. They were her entire world. Her children are absolutely devastated with the loss of their mom. This is also incredibly hard for her son Nathan to understand, as he is low verbal autistic as well as her son Nick having achberger's.
Morris police department has issued a statement regarding the incident, but we want to clarify that Alivia was not in possession of a gun. We have confirmed she had a knife and was ultimately shot by a police officer.
It is known at this time prior to Alivia's final moments that she reached out to the suicide hotline for help in the state of mind she was in. Alivia was working with different medical programs and facilities to lead her on a maintainable and enjoyable life with her children.
These children are no strangers to the toll mental illness can have on a family. With this tragedy they are going to be a on a long path of recovery and need support with their own mental wellness and the impacts of emotional grievance.
Alivia did not have any life insurance or means to pay for a funeral service or for burial. We are asking for support in helping her get the final resting services she deserves in addition to finacial support for the children to seek different couselors that cater to their special needs to help get through this difficult time.
Although her service has already passed, please pass this page along so that her kids can continue their grief counseling. Thank you everyone for your support, condolences, and donations.
