Aliya Lerwill sadly passed away on August 1st 2024

Our beloved mother, Aliya Lerwill recently passed on August 1st 2024. At 48 years old Aliya was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and a truly Good Samaritan who touched the lives of those around her.

She leaves behind her mother Jasmin Lerwill (70), and her four children Chaneen (31), Akeem (30), Sharnaé (16) and Rahim (13) along with three grandchildren Jasmine (6), Ocean (5), and Skyla-ray (5months).

Aliya dedicated her life to helping and uplifting other people, stopping regularly to offer a smile, a hug or a helping hand to any one of any background; friend or stranger.

She was always so colourful and vibrant, always dancing and rejoicing about life and she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and light in the heart of everyone who met her.

She really loved an occasion for everyone to get together and celebrate. And even if she could attend a celebration, perhaps because it happened abroad, she would still buy cake and host a party, sharing photos of the celebration.

She was known for her candid and brazen photography style which showed real and authentic memories and moments she experienced.

As a family, we are all devastated by Aliya Lerwill’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Aliya Lerwill the memorial she deserves, to honor her beautiful, vibrant and joy filled memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Aliya Lerwill's funeral. Thank you for your support of our family during this time.
