Honor Alka Ohri's Legacy

On February 20, 2023, we lost our beloved Alka Ohri at 60 years of age.

Alka was a loving mother, daughter, sister, wife, and friend. She was blessed with generosity and warmth that made everyone feel like family. A positive force of magnetic energy, Alka embraced each day with a vibrant zest for life, passion for adventure, and devotion to those she loved. She was a warrior– bold, strong, fierce, and a romantic– hopeful, kind, and incredibly caring.

In 2018, she was diagnosed with Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (MTNBC HER2–). She spent nearly five years undergoing intense treatment for this illness before passing this February.

Triple-negative breast cancer accounts for 10 to 20% of all breast cancer cases and is known as a more aggressive type of tumor. Because of its faster growth rate and higher risk of metastasis, most patients require aggressive set treatments that can significantly impact a person's quality of life.

We are forming a foundation in her name, The Alka Ohri Foundation, with the initial mission to improve the quality of life for women diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. Together, we will invest in research to develop both novel and holistic approaches to preventing and treating MTNBC HER2– Breast Cancer. Our goal is to assist the pioneers in the industry, working relentlessly to find cures.

Rest in peace, Alka, and thank you for everything you did for us. You are our Hero, and we love you very much.
