Coming together for Lilley
#LILLEYConquersALL

I am organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend, Chriselle and her family...
Chriselle's daughter, Lilley, was just diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). These raised funds will not only help with medical costs, but cost of living and other expenses while Chriselle and Michael take time off of work to help Lilley conquer this. - Vanessa Diaz

This is Toneena, Thea, Trisha and Tara, and we are writing this note on behalf of our sister Trina, brother Michael, and niece Lilley.

On April 18, 2024, after about 3 weeks of intermittent fevers, multiple doctor visits, and various labs and imaging tests to figure out what was going on, 6-year-old Lilley was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia or ALL, which is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells. She is currently admitted at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and is starting the initial treatment for her ALL. Their family is heartbroken and devastated, but hopeful that she will be fully cured of this.

Lilley is one of the sweetest girls you will ever know. She gives the best kisses and “eyeball hugs” (the ones where you are hugged so tight, your eyeballs pop out). She is also fun-loving and creative. She loves arts and crafts, and has multiple projects going on at any given time. She is the ultimate girly girl, and loves anything pink/purple and sparkly. While shy when first meeting new people, she will eventually open up and be the bestest friend to anyone she meets. Her myriad of friends will attest to this. She is sassy and funny, and she makes everyone laugh with her quick wit. She stands up for what she believes and will call you out if she thinks you are not doing what you should be. She is intuitive and very observant - she is a leader in her kindergarten classroom and often stuns grownups with her unexpected and mature questions.

Being sick is such a big change for her as she has always been a healthy little girl. When first asked how she feels about everything that’s happening, she responded with “SCARED, MAD, SAD, WORRIED and HURT”. And yet, this little girl continues to be brave and strong. Even after losing control over so many things in her life which would make any grown up give up, she continues to fight. And despite this extremely unfair card that life has suddenly dealt her, Lilley wakes up every single day determined to beat cancer.

The funds we raise here will be a tremendous help to the Sloniker Family so they can focus all their efforts on Lilley and not have to worry about any additional expenses that may come their way.

Let’s all come together and share our love for dad Michael, mom Trina and sweet Lilley.

Any amount will help get them back on their feet and fight stronger. Let’s help #LilleyConquersALL

Prayer is also one of the biggest ways we can support them. We have set up a daily prayer / novena for Lilley. If you’d like to join, feel free to reach out to Trisha via text, Facebook (Stel Kamerow) or IG (stelfie05) and she can send you the details.
