All from an abscess tooth. Flesh eating disease

Hi, my name is Meagan Urquhart and I had an abscess tooth. Unfortunately the dentist wouldn't treat 'pop' the abscess in her office and told me emergency was what I wanted. So I took her advice and went to emergency.

After waiting 5hr 33 minutes in the emergency department I finally saw a Dr. for all of 5 minutes. I explained what was happening told him the dentist wouldn't release the abscess pressure. He questioned why, said not to worry because he would. He froze the lip area, then gave me a kidney bowl, said look up, then spit. He released the abscess alright. After all that he gave me a prescription for the same medication my dentist gave me and said go home.

I went home and the next day when I woke up the entire left side of my face was swollen and my eye was shut. I knew I was going back to the hospital, but this time by ambulance.

That was on October 19th.

After returning to the hospital I had 3 surgeries in the first 4 days. Turns out that I have flesh eating disease. The dr"s had to create a pocket from the scalp to my chest just to see how much puss and dead tissue they were looking at. Apparently I have a lot of dead tissue. And when healing, healthy tissue will not stick to dead.

*Quick fact: You CAN skin a human alive. I was 1/4 skinned.

So far after 5 surgeries now I am still in the hospital healing.

I have been here 9 weeks now with no 'home' date ever mentioned.

I'm obviously not working, still here after 9 weeks has dried up my savings and now I'm under threat of becoming homeless before I even get out of here. Plus I still have my youngest living at home. She's been doing the best she can.

My need is simple really. If you could donate a couple dollars to help keep me and my daughter with a roof over our heads until I can heal and go home, I would really appreciate that. I'm not asking for a lot, just enough to pay the rent and bills for a couple of months.

I honestly don't think I'm going home any time soon.

I will be using the funds to pay my rent, bills, food for my daughter to eat.

I unfortunately didn't get a photo really early on. But I have 3 draining areas. My temple, my neck and my chest.

They had to open my chest to release a pocket of puss that collected above my heart. I was told I will have a nasty reminder when it's all done.
