ALL In For Aiden
Donation protected
Aiden Yielding (14) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) in April of 2020. The Yieldings opted for treatment at Cook Children's in Fort Worth through a clinical trial, a treatment program called the Total 17 Protocol through St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Aiden is currently in the maintenance phase which requires weekly visits to Cook Children's for checkups and treatments every Tuesday for the next two-and-a-half years. They understand this will be a marathon, not a sprint.
I have set up this GoFundMe page on behalf of the Yieldings (with their permission) to help out with expenses associated with Aiden's treatments in the coming months. They appreciate everyone who has already offered support in so many ways. Aiden is currently taking this diagnosis in stride, participating in virtual school and he has recently taken up competitive fishing since contact sports aren't possible while he is undergoing treatment.
With the pandemic related precautions currently in place, only one parent is allowed to be with Aiden during his weekly treatments. You may have seen a video or two of "Dancing Dad" Chuck in the hospital parking lot breaking out his best moves in an effort to cheer up his boy! It's been fun watching them bring a smile to so many through the sharing of their story. The Yielding family is focused on Aiden's fight, but they look forward to his healthy future and plan to find ways to support other families going through this.
Thank you for your support!
