‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, “I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

For over 100 years, FSUMC The People's Church has been serving the community. We activated to another level of engagement during the pandemic, when we were a source of light and hope meeting the needs of the people.

Once occupied by the Young Lords to demand services for the community, today, from food distribution to wellness programs to serving those seeking asylum, The People's Church continues to follow in the steps of Jesus an accompany the people.

Last November, we received word that our main funding partner would be cutting the church from its budget effective June 30, 2023. Now we need your help to keep the church open and this historical site in El Barrio alive!

Please help us to raise $150,000 to stay open to meet critical needs until June 30, 2024, as we strategize to implement plans for long-term sustainability.
