All Seated in a Barn: The Texas Project
Tax deductible
All Seated in a Barn is a dedicated group of individuals coming together to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses and donkeys in need.
After 4 years as an established, 501(c)3 rescue, we have a lot of stories to tell, and a lot more to create for these amazing four legged beings!
The Texas Project is about making those stories a reality for not just horses and
donkeys but other rescues, other animals, and other people. It has been our goal to have a second location that is closer to where many of the bigger "kill pens" are, such as Bowie, Stroud, Kaufman etc - to have a place nearby to help to help cut down costs for things like transport and quarantine, but that is also centrally
located so that we can make a bigger and more impactful difference for more equines on a larger scale. Bowie, TX, the future home of our 2nd location, definitely ticks all those boxes!
By creating and making this dream come true and utilizing the GoFundMe platform as well as other avenues of fundraising, we will be able to have the means to build a functional and safe working facility that can accommodate horses and donkeys stuck in the horse industry neglect pipeline. From pasture only horses to those that are unhandled, sick and underweight, and those in need of training. We will also be able to accommodate and help other rescues with transport and quarantine, utilizing the incredible local vets, Cutting Edge Equine Hospital and Outlaw
Equine Hospital, and our own ASIAB haulers.
This is an ambitious project and it’s implementation can and will be broken down into 5 phases as donations come in:
- 1. Water well & lines
- 2. Feed storage & shelters
- 3. Trap 1-4 fencing
- 4. Pens 1-3, Stud Row and Barn
- 5. Gravel & Remaining Equipment
