Helping Beau And The Evans Family

Beau Evans 20 years of age.

UPDATE From 21 / 01 / 2023

Beau has been discharged from Hospital and Home.

Unfortunately, Beau Has Been Classed As Legally Blind, Which Is A Hell Of A Lot For Beau And his Family To Take In.

Beau, will have Appointments regularly for the next 6 months

23rd December Beau stated that he had blurry vision.

Visits to the Doctor and by 26th December his vision was gone on both eye's.

On the 26th of December, we took Beau straight to Geelong Hospital Emergency.

Beau had CT Scans show nothing and then after having A MRI it showed that he had Abnormal Bone Growth on his Skull.

Nuro Specialist from Geelong had never seen the way that the abnormal bone was growing, and this was putting pressure on his Optical Nerves,

and also, pressure on his growth hormone nerve.

Specialists from Geelong sent Scans and reports to Royal Melbourne Hospital.

When they viewed the Scans they themselves had never seen this before.

On the 3rd of January Beau was transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for more Scans / Tests.

On the 5th of January, 3 Surgeons, 2 from Melbourne and 1 from Sydney decided that Beau would need major surgery.

They aimed to release the pressure from his Optical Nevers with Brain Surgery.

Saturday 7th January Beau had surgery.

After surgery surgeons are hoping that Beau's eyesight will improve, but they cannot guarantee Beau that his sight will improve, and it's a day-by-day process.

Surgeons / Specialists cannot even give this a Name.

There will be ongoing Scans / Tests for several months to monitor Beau's sight as well as his Skull / Brain.

Beau is going to need Full-Time care once he can leave the Hospital.

Melinda (MUM)

Melinda has had to cease her employment due to Beau needing a full-time carer.

Brad (DAD)

Brad has only been able to work 12 hours since 23rd December and is employed Casual which means he isn't entitled to Sick / Holiday pay.

With Brad's ongoing Health issues and awaiting an artery bypass on his leg, Brad himself is going to be without employment for some time.

A Go Fund Me Page has been put into place to help the Family with everyday ongoing costs for living and to help Beau with things he will need once he's allowed home.
