ALLEGORY Solo Show and Community Events
Donation protected
Hello!
I'm Iris Rylander, an Austin-based printmaker. I will be having a solo exhibition at Contracommon from mid-January to mid-February, 2023. The themes of my work include the highs and lows of life, trauma and healing, and the exploration of what it means to be human. Allegory is defined as a story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning. While my show is up, I want to use the gallery as a platform for other storytellers- BIPOC, Queer, and female-identifying writers, musicians, etc. and to compensate them fairly.
Here is a list of current supplies and services that have not yet been paid for:
Wallpaper
Frames
Triptych mounts
Zine publication
Photography
Compensation for guest artists
I recognize that there are many more causes that are more important than mine. Please prioritize those first. However, if you are able, please consider donating to help me cover expenses for my show and to compensate my guest artists fairly.
At checkout, please provide your email address in the "message" box to be able to receive a personal thank you from me.
Thank you so much! I hope to see you all at my show!
