Allen and Nancy Timmons
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Christina Koldys and I'm sponsoring this request for donations for my dear friends Nancy and Allen.
In May of 2023, Nancy and Allen Timmons and their daughter Emily Jewel were given the unimaginable news that Allen had terminal brain cancer that would soon end his life.. No treatments were available and they were told to make arrangements for the inevitable outcome. Diagnosed with this aggressive cancer they started this difficult journey...with hope and love.
If you know Nancy and Allen, you know they are very hard-working people that would lend a hand to anyone and not ask for help in return. They have been a true testament of faith as they have bravely faced the challenges before them but this horrible disease means that they are unable to work, that loss of income is yet another burden they face.
Please consider donating to support them. Your donations will displace the loss of their crucial income and help cover mounting medical and living expenses Every little bit helps and no amount is too small. It takes a village, and this village needs your help. Your prayers for Allen and his family are equally important and welcomed.
Who is this talented and loving man? Read on.
“He has always been a gentle soul, a big guy full of heart. His love for life is always bright.” said Nancy his soul mate An article from the Berkshire Botanical magazine article starts like this. “Allen Timmons, the kindly blue eyed man with an Alabama accent whose sweet filled syllables stretch like taffy.” Allen had a special relationship with the Botanical Garden. He was their Mr. Scarecrow for over a decade...mesmerizing and entertaining the children at the Harvest Festival
He was not only Mr. Scarecrow but a talented creative architectural artist. He owns Backyard Heirlooms a company that built custom birdhouses which were replica's of customers homes and businesses. You can see one of Allen’s playhouses at the Botanical Gardens. It is the focal point of the Children’s Discovery Garden. He donated it. He was also commissioned to build incredible tree houses thru out the Berkshires This was a great fit with his wife’s garden design business Blooming Idiots. They often worked together and created beautiful magic for their clients.
Allen has been graced with many talents. He is a musician, songwriter and poet He spent his free time writing and composing songs. They were songs that told the story of his life and his love for Nancy his soul mate. He shared these gifts with an extra special group of students at Extra Special Teas. For the last 6 years he brought his guitar and love to EST and created a music program that allowed the students to sing dance, laugh and even perform at the Gt Barrington Gazebo.
His dear friend Dave Reed who owns the Treehouse recording studio encouraged Allen to record his songs . So he did. He recorded a CD with 7 of his favorite songs called “Lessons From the Ground”. Each song tells a story...about the experiences he and Nancy had thru out their lives together. His favorite, the last song on the CD is Cherry Pie, it's about his sweet daughter Emily Jewel.
Even at this devastating time… Allen wants this to be known
. “I’m a very happy man. I’m incredibly blessed and grateful for my life lived”.
