Allen Edwards - Stroke Recovery
As many of you may know, Allen Edwards suffered a stroke in 2013. Allen is one of the greatest defensive players in Furman football history. In 2001, he was inducted into the Furman University Hall of Fame. Allen was the defensive line coach during Furman's 2001 League Title and he is beloved by the many players whose lives he touched. After his stroke, he was completely robbed of the ability to speak and left with extremely limited mobility. Allen is without immediate family and currently residing in an assisted living facility. The costs of the facility have risen and his disability funds in no way cover such, not to mention other basic needs.
We have put together a plan for Allen and we are asking the Furman family to join us in providing care for our Paladin Brother. Donations will be contributed towards his rehabilitation, medical bills, home safety equipment and caregivers. Any donation will make a huge difference and will be extremely appreciated.
We appreciate all of your support and prayers.
Please note: The Allen Edwards Fund was set up by Ken Pettus and Tom Legrand. Ken will be withdrawing the Go Fund Me funds and depositing them in to the Trust account set up for Allen. Ken will be handling these funds on Allen's behalf.
