Allen Shannon Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
I am very humble today. My first friend passed today. I am raising funds for my brother, Allen Shannon's, (pictured on the right) funeral, headstone and Osage feast expenses. He was a State Champion football player. He played golf, tennis and loved basketball. He loved watching sports with family and friends where ever he was at in Norman, OK, Lawrence, KS or Pawhuska, OK. He also, loved to sing. He loved to laugh and sit and talk with anyone. He was the Zonzoli, Zexaniwathe. Meaning, he was the Osage Drum Keeper for the Hominy District. He loved his Wahzhazhe people. He wanted to dress this summer and got his Wahzhazhe clothes out last summer. His doctor said, "many people would have succumbed to his complications, but he's strong and he's a fighter." I will miss my beloved big brother who stood by me, always. My great uncle Preston Morrell would say, "we're pitiful people." I told dad, "I didn't always like hearing that." Dad explained, "uncle Preston meant, only God knows whats going to happen tomorrow, that is why we're pitiful. We don't know whats going to happen tomorrow." Allen was doing better, he was in a wheel chair, we'd play poker or 21. He liked transcribing lyrics in a book. Allen will be missed. He's happy and healthy now. He's with my beloved daughter, Blake, our sister Carolyn, our brother Stan and our loving mother Mary Agnes Wagoshe-Shannon. He was a proud member of the Hominy Committee. A mourners breakfast is another expense coming our way. Times have surly changed for our people and traditions. Thank you in advance for your help in "putting away" Allen. (Wahzhazhe phrase) Love you, brother. xoxo
