Allie Mae’s OSU Vet Bill
Donation protected
This is Allie Mae. She belongs to one of my best friends, Jada Francis. Jada got Allie around a year ago from a rescue and since then she has given Allie the life any horse can dream of, and they they have become inseparable. Recently, Allie suddenly fell very sick. She became very dull and lost her entire bubbly loving personality. The vet was called out twice and Jada slept in her stall for the whole day holding her head to keep her feeling comfortable and safe. The decision was made that she needed to be rushed to OSU in the middle of the night where she underwent iv antibiotics, and testing. There they found fluid in her lungs and she was diagnosed with pneumonia, which is not very common in horses and is detrimental without round the clock antibiotics. As of now we are still unsure what is causing her lungs to be flooded but thankfully, Allie is currently stable and is awaiting results from a chest tap to see what needs to be done to further help her. Her pneumonia could escalate very quickly and she needs round the clock care to ensure her safety and hopeful recovery but she is in the best hands to treat her current state. We still do not know why or how this happened to her but the vet bills will be pouring in as the vets at OSU are not confident of Allie coming home with just oral antibiotics and she is estimated to be there at minimum to monitor her fluid retention. Leaving Allie to get round the clock care is the best case for her right now. Jada’s family has given the green light to do whatever they need to do to help Allie because she is not just a horse, she is part of the family, and we take this responsibility on when we become horse owner’s. Jada has finally found her heart horse and we just want to help in anyway possible to make sure Allie comes home healthy and safe ❤️
