Allies Welcome: Help Bashir Resettle in the U.S.
Donation protected
Please help Afghan interpreter Bashir K. and his family resettle in the U.S.
Bashir had to leave everything behind when he fled from the Taliban with the help of Danish special forces. After two years as a refugee in Europe, Bashir had no path to permanent citizenship. He is now coming to the U.S. with his wife and their five children (ages 3 to 14) on a Special Immigrant Visa.
This fundraiser will help Bashir and his family land on their feet and show our gratitude for his service to U.S. and allied forces. Your contribution will help meet the family’s needs for transportation (a minivan), their first year of car insurance, clothing, home furnishings, and internet access for their first year.
One member of Team Bashir worked directly with him while deployed to Afghanistan. The rest of us are family members and other U.S. government employees aiming to supplement the support provided by Church World Services to ensure a smooth transition for Bashir's family after their traumatic and courageous exit from Afghanistan. We will provide donors with updates on their resettlement journey.
