Allison Blake apartment fire

Hi. I'm Allison's mom. She left Saturday for Michigan on her first vacation in many years. Today there was a terrible fire in her apartment. They are unsure of the cause, but it started in the kitchen. We've not been able to find her kitties. Between the fire, smoke and water damage, it doesn't look like anything will be salvageable. I left food and fresh water for her babies in case they survived. I've told Allison there's no point in rushing home because we won't be able to get back into the apartment until after the building inspector assesses the damage, hopefully, tomorrow. The lock on the door has been changed, and the windows have been boarded up. I have no idea how much money she'll need to replace all her belongings, but any amount will surely help give her a start. Her landlord stayed at the apartment with my brother and me until the fire department finished and made tons of calls to get restoration started ASAP. She's lived there for almost ten years.
