My dear friend and one of the kindest and most caring people I know, Allison Bridges, was in a horrifying head-on collision the morning of April 2nd.

Allison, a single mother of a beautiful two year old little girl named Aubrey Nicole, suffered critical injuries and to date has had eleven surgeries with more to come. Allison broke her right femur and lost all of the blood flow to her right leg. Allison has had multiple vascular surgeries on her leg and doctors are optimistic that she will be able to use it again. Allison also tore most of the muscles on the right side of her body and broke most of her ribs. Her most severe injuries however, were to her lower abdomen. The seat belt severed her intestines and caused an extensive amount of additional trauma. She was kept in medically induced coma for several weeks.

Although she is now awake and alert, she is unable to talk as a result of her vocal cords being paralyzed from being intubated for such an extended amount of time. Doctors are hopeful her vocal cords will eventually work again.
The current plan is for Allison to be moved to a rehabilitation facility tomorrow. Allison could be there for several months while she continues to heal and learns to walk again. Obviously Allison is unable to work right now and at this point it is uncertain when she will be able to work again.
From the bottom of my heart, I am asking every friend, colleague and fan of the ADRL, Fight Hard MMA and the River City Raiders to please make a donation. NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL!
While things seem to be headed in the right direction, needless to say Allison still has a very long, arduous and expensive road to recovery ahead of her.
Please keep Allison, Aubrey, their family and the many who love her in your thoughts and prayers. THE POWER OF PRAYER IS REAL!
Thank you all...
