Allison is beyond grateful for what has been done for her and her family over the last 7-8 years. She and Tom want you to know how appreciative they are for the fundraising that has already been done over the years that has helped them afford Alli's treatments and bills along the way. She tried to hold us down and say no more help, but her enormous group of support can't be stopped.
As of today, March 28, she begins 2 weeks of daily radiation to try to zap the 11 lesions in her brain. Once the 2 weeks is over, the doctors will assess if surgery is needed on the one larger lesion, and then the rest of her treatment will be planned. After figuring out how to deal with these new developments, her team of doctors will go back to treating her lungs, which she has been getting treatment for since her breast cancer metastasized to the lungs approximately 2 years ago.
Before this new development, Alli and Tom were already researching a place called Hope4Cancer (Hope4Cancer.com). Quick breakdown: They offer multi-dimensional recovery programs, designed to empower patients using non-toxic treatment plans. They fight cancer cells while strengthening the patient, both physically and emotionally. There are many success stories you can read about on their website, and we have also found people on Instagram who are documenting their successful journeys.
The hope is that after the radiation, surgery and chemo if recommended, we can send Alli and Tom to Mexico to continue fighting this another way.
The money raised might also at times go to medical bills or healthy food for Alli, etc., but please know it will be used to help Alli fight.
Thank you all so much for helping Alli, Tom and their kids over the years.
The fight isn't over, but with our help and Alli's strength, she can beat this!!
xoxo
