Welcome,
Over the last two weeks I've been part of the NCS programme (A Government backed programme for 16-17 year olds which allows us to plan and deliver a social action project which aims to better our local community). During this time we've learnt the skills of coaching and organising events, and we've also visited sport themed businesses and learnt great ways to implement sport into different causes.
Our aim, as the sport and fitness team, is to raise awareness for how mental wellbeing can be greatly improved from taking part in physical activity of any kind. To do this, we are setting up a stall on Wednesday (23rd Aug) with various sporting activities for passers by to take part in (including a smoothie-making bike, a basketball hoop and more). We will be collecting donations for the mental health charity, mind, while also handing out flyers for their cause.
In order to get involved you can join us on the 23rd (Location to come), and exercise on the various equipment we have available, and if you can't make it, donations are welcome on this GoFundMe page. Any donations are welcome and all sizes are generous. The money generated here will all go to the Mind charity and the page will run untill our campaign ends. We thank you for supporting our cause.
