Alma Blackmon begins recovery.

Hi, my name is Mary Ann, and I set up this Go Fund Me page to support Alma in her recovery.

We all know Alma as the most giving of friends who would do anything she could to help any of us at a moment's notice. She has been very committed to helping thousands of children in our community by fundraising for the Forgotten Child Fund during Christmas. NOW she needs our help due to having a STROKE caused by COVID.

On August 5th, 2022, Alma contracted COVID and became very ill. After three days in the hospital, an ear infection and debilitating vertigo leading to 18 days in bed, and 30 pounds of inflammation throughout her body. Alma had a STROKE.

Alma has lost mobility on the right side of her body. Her face, arm and leg are numb. She is unable to walk. Alma requires physical therapy four days a week and countless doctor appointments and is unable to work.

Alma is facing insurmountable costs for medical care and monthly bills. There is also an open-ended question on her future mobility.

Alma, Shad and their kids are an amazing family and need us more than ever right now. I am asking for any help to ease their financial burdens so Alma can fully concentrate on getting to a healthy place.
