Al-Manarah Islamic School Appeal

This is an urgent fundraiser for Al-Manara Islamic School located in the in the Republic of Gambia, in the city of Kerranah in West Africa, under the umbrella of the Islamic Union.

The goals of this school are to nurture the memorization of the Holy Quran and the study of Islamic sciences from various aspects. This includes the Quran, the noble Prophetic sunnah, the preservation of Islamic jurisprudence, the Arabic language, and aqeedah.

The school has two stages, the elementary stage, and the preparatory stage only. It is now in desperate need of building a secondary stage because students are transferring to another school that offers high school education.

Upon the request of the school authorities, we are seeking assistance to construct three classrooms within the school premises and some offices for the staff. Additionally, we need some tables, chairs, and monthly salaries for the teachers, please see details below.

The school requires the following:

1. Two teachers with a monthly salary of 12,000 Gambian Dalasi each (approximately £158 x 2 teachers x 12 months = £3792).

2. 30 tables and chairs, totaling 120,000 Gambian Dalasi (approx. £1,581)

3. Two doors to separate the classrooms, priced at 6,000 Gambian Dalasi (approx. £80)

4. Three windows, costing 7,500 Gambian Dalasi in total (approx. £99)

5. 30 bags of cement, amounting to 12,750 Gambian Dalasi (approx. £168)

Total urgent amount needed: £5720

This is the figure for the most pressing needs in a nutshell, any additional support will be used towards the school.
