Almost Lost In The System

Hi, my name is Hildiah Martin-Suggs, I am the Owner and Creator of the Youth Mitigation Program here in the State of Georgia. I believe in Justice three ways. I believe in Justice for the victims, those who need to be exonerated and those incarcerated deserving of a second chance. On January 8, 2020, I made history for being the first Mitigation Investigator to work in a District Attorney's Office mitigating cases between defense and prosecuting Attorneys for State Judges to give youth facing SB440 and SB441 a second chance to live productive lives; which is part of my Youth Mitigation Program. I have been mobilizing in this industry since 2016 as a volunteer utilizing my expertise, my funds to assist families who are less fortunate and to assist their love ones who are incarcerated. I am the Founder of the newly launched Organization, "Almost Lost In The Sysytem Inc," which I launched in July 2021. Almost Lost In The Sysytem Inc derived from my own personal experiences with the Criminal Justice System and families that I assisted throughout the years who could not afford an Investigator or proper defense to assist their families with their cases. I am raising funds for my Organization Almost Lost In The System Inc, to be able to continue mobilizing, provide the proper services, travel expenses, retrieve hard copies of full discoveries, and obtain assistance with cases. Also, to be able to distribute financial assistance to those incarcerated and their families who are less fortunate that are reaching out for my Organization assistance.

This fund raising is extremely important to me because being able to assist families and those incarcerated who are reaching out for your help, but their is no funding to continue mobilizing the work. Everyone deserves a professional to thoroughly review, investigate their cases, or deviate youth 13 to 17 years old awaiting Trial for SB440 and SB441 who are deserving of a second chance; by having access to funding to retrieve hard copies of full discoveries, assist with financial assistance for those incarcerated food and hygeine products within the Facilities. Almost Lost In The System wants to prevent youth from being lost in the system. Almost Lost In The Sysytem do not want families to worry about becoming homeless, losing a job, or utility cut offs just to pay Attorneys for their youth to have a second chance to live productive lives. Almost Lost In The Sysytem Inc do not want any families to endure what I endured at the time I was fighting for my son to have a second chance to live a productive life beginning at the age of 14 years old. This fund raising ensures that Almost Lost In The System will have some funding to continue mobilizing work ethics to assist youth being charged as an adult and their families. Especially, for youth who are less fortunate that do not have the opportunity to have professionals review their cases properly and fairly. The opportunity for someone to advocate for exoneration, when innocent or deviating for a second chance to receive an equal opportunity in the Criminal Justice System as others did who are fortunate.
