Alpha Eta Rho Camp Sunshine Fundraiser
Tax deductible
The Auburn University Alpha Eta Rho Gamma Chapter is raising money during the month of September for Camp Sunshine, a summer camp for children with cancer. Push, one of Rho's current members attended this summer camp for 11 years and has now come back as a counselor.
Camp Sunshine is dedicated to creating a place where children with cancer can be kids again.
From Camp Sunshine:
We are families dealing with childhood cancer who come together to share, grow and find hope. We are passionate volunteers, who give and receive so much more in return. We are trained professionals in the childhood cancer journey. We are Board Members and joyful donors. And together, we are an amazing Camp Sunshine family where a touch of magic happens in a multitude of ways. At camp, kids can enjoy normal activities like swimming, horseback riding, and arts and crafts. But most importantly, they discover their inner power to achieve more than they imagine and the gift of making forever friends. In fact, doctors and nurses often say the power of Camp Sunshine is as impactful in a child’s cancer journey as their treatment.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and Alpha Eta Rho will be making gold ribbons to distribute to everyone while raising money for this special camp. The Auburn Women in Aviation and the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals chapters will be partnering with Alpha Eta Rho to help them meet their goal. With your donation, a kid may have the chance to enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
