Alpharetta Loop Mural

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FUND A MURAL ON THE ALPHA LOOP!

Alpharetta
is home to many engaging sculptures and art displays, and we are looking to add by years end, a fun mural between Avalon and City Center on the Alpha Loop.  And we would love your help!

Hundreds of residents and visitors walk, run, and bike the Loop daily.  A colorful, whimsical flower mural along the path would add a bit of wonder, elicit a smile, and create an Instagrammable photo op. The mural will have organic colors and a nature-based design.

Your small donation of $20 would help bring this artwork to life.  Please consider donating by January 20th!

LOCATION

The location of the mural is on a 3-section brick wall to the west of the Thompson Street Park and alongside the Midwick neighborhood (if you haven’t walked the Loop, throw on your walking shoes and enjoy the curved path, scenic views, greenery, ponds, and active wildlife).

The Alpha Loop:

Alpharetta-resident Diane Grecco lives on the Alpha Loop and has offered to help raise funds towards the addition of this beautiful, nature-based, Instagrammable mural to be enjoyed by Alpharetta and all visitors.  She is working with City Planning and the Art Council to make the mural a reality.

COSTS

We’d like to raise at least $5,000 to make this happen.  Costs include artist payment, wall preparation, and a protective finish.  Extra funds raised with go towards other Alpharetta art installations.

Your donation of $20 would be a tremendous help. Your donation would be greatly appreciated and every time you walk the Alpha Loop, you and your friends would see and enjoy the results of your contribution.

To help get the word out, please share the link on your Facebook Timeline, Instagram, Twitter, etc.  Thank you!

 ABOUT THE ARTIST

We are thrilled to work with up-and-coming local artist, Cecilia Gonzalez
Born and raised in Alpharetta, Cecilia attended Alpharetta High before obtaining her B.S. degree in Visualization with a minor in Art & Architectural History at Texas A&M University. She currently lives in the Avalon area. She has worked creatively with Aggieland Outfitters, Universal Creative, and Insomniac Games. After a personal fight with cancer, Cecilia created the non-profit called Little & Fierce, where 100% of the proceeds from personally designed t-shirts sales are donated to the Give Kids the World fund.
