Alpine Walk 2024!

Hi, I'm Leo and I'm fundraising for the Wollangarra outdoor education center! Wollangarra is an outdoor ed center that was founded by Ian Stapleton to give young people outdoor experiences for a low price - making it as accessible as possible.

In November last year I attended a five day school program at Wollangarra, and I absolutely loved it. I then attended a five day school program and a ten day program at Mittagundi, Wollangarra's sister center, also founded by Ian Stapleton. After I attended these three courses, I got an invite to go on the 11 day hike known as the Alpine Walk.

Alpine Walk is a 130km hike along the Australian Alps Walking Track, from Wollangarra to Mittagundi for 10 young people that have attended Mittagundi or Wollangarra programs over 2023. But the walk isn't just about the hiking - as part of the program we were asked to raise a minimum of $500 each to help cover the cost of the hike and any extra that is raised will help fund future programs and materials for Wollangarra, so that future young people can enjoy it for years to come.
