Help Alpine Community Garden Grow!
Donation protected
The Alpine Community Garden began in 2013. The people of Alpine now have a space to come together and learn the basics of gardening, get their hands dirty, and have fun. The garden is truly an asset to the city and provides the opportunity to spread knowledge and personal empowerment through learning how to grow your own food!
Friends of the Alpine Community Garden have noticed that our garden is growing and needs your help. We have some old projects to finish and some new projects on the horizon.
We would like to finish our shade structure. A shade structure with a picnic table will allow for gardeners to take a break out of the sun, sort their harvest, or even host small classes. As you can see in the photo, the skeleton of the structure is built, and needs to be covered with a durable material to withstand the West Texas environment.
The money raised will directly cover the costs of completing the shade structure and other improvements.
Materials needed:
-shade cloth
-6' picnic table
-natural weed suppressants
-outdoor paint
-birdhouses
-feeder stands
Any money left over after completing these projects will go in the garden fund for tools and equipment, to continue making the garden better!
