Help Ken Keep Living in his Home: Support an #ALSsurvivor !
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Ken Kowalski and I’ve been an #ALSsurvivor since 2007. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a devastating illness that slowly paralyzes the body, affecting my ability to breathe, speak, and move. Despite these challenges, I refuse to give up on life—it's just taken on a different form.
Before ALS, I loved scuba diving, surfing, competing in triathlons, and traveling with my amazing wife Carol, who is my hero and primary caregiver. Now, my adventures are experienced through my high-tech wheelchair or in front of my big screen.
Living with ALS is incredibly demanding and expensive. To maintain my health and stay at home, I need a lot of specialized medical equipment, supplies, and professional help—all of which come with a hefty price tag. Medicare covers only a portion of these costs, and we end up paying over $150,000 a year out of our own pocket. This amount is overwhelming for anyone, especially for someone unable to work.
This is why I’m reaching out for your support. Any donation you can provide will go towards ensuring I live with dignity and comfort. Your contributions will significantly reduce the stress and worry we face, allowing us to focus on making the most out of life.
Please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family. The more people who know about it, the better our chances of reaching our goal. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your support means the world to us.
God bless .
