Alternative Cancer Treatments for Kristen

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Megan and I’m starting this gofundme for my little sister Kristen.

As many of you know, Kristen was diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma on January 20th, 2020. She fought an extremely hard battle through the strongest type of chemotherapy, and numerous back to back rounds of radiation. I truly cannot begin to comprehend the mental and emotional battles that she has had to endure.. But she never backed down, and she won! She was cancer free. However, the type of cancer she was fighting is known to be extremely aggressive and has a very high likelihood of returning and metastasizing throughout the body. Some of you may recall last year we had a big scare when the doctors saw some cancer in the chest wall, but Kristen being the positive person she is, did not take this as a loss. She fought as hard as she could and dedicated the next six months of her life to natural healing, and remained in remission.

Despite all of the odds being stacked against her from her first rounds of chemotherapy and radiation (which should have prevented her from ever conceiving without IVF) her and her Fiancé Brad kept their faith strong, energies positive, and tried to conceive naturally - by the grace of God their prayers were answered and they were blessed with an absolute miracle pregnancy.

On May 12th at 29 weeks pregnant Kristen was walking her dog Diesel and tripped and fell. To her surprise what seemed to be an innocent fall turned out to be a devastating and life changing event.

Over the next ten weeks Kristen suffered in excruciating pain. She had gone to the hospital 10 times, and was seen by (2) osteopaths, (2) physiotherapists, (2) chiropractors, (2) masseuses, and visited (1) pain clinic. All of the above doctors said it was either a pinched nerve, torn rotator cuff, or bone spurs in her neck. She toughed it out through this unimaginable pain until the birth of her beautiful baby boy. She had a safe delivery and her and Brad welcomed their sweet blessing on July 10th, 2023.

After giving birth, Kristen was finally cleared to do more in-depth testing with dyes and contrast to get to the bottom of the agony she has been experiencing for 10 weeks. Due to her previous history, she also got in contact with her oncology team from Princess Margaret hospital and they brought her in to assess her pain and sent her for the appropriate scans needed.

On July 20th she finally got answers as to why she was in such pain from a seemingly minor fall. Kristen was given the devastating news that her cancer had returned and had spread to numerous areas throughout her body. Her brain, neck, shoulder, liver, lung and rib.

Her doctors have given her a timeline of survival/prognosis that THEY think is appropriate, but SHE refuses to accept that. My sister has more strength and fight in her now than ever before.

I’d like to ask that we all come together and help her fight! The doctors have given her very limited options but there are so many natural options out there. Sadly these options are not covered by insurance and can get very expensive.

I know a lot of you may have donated previously, but I beg you to pull together anything that you can spare, and donate again. EVERY dollar counts. Her life and future with her fiancé and son are dependent on these treatments. It’s going to take a village, so let’s be her village! Please.

If you can’t afford to donate (as I understand everyone has their own financial battles) please say a prayer, send positive thoughts & share the GoFundMe link anywhere that you can.

Thank you all in advance.
