ALU Member James O'Donnell, Fired in Retaliation
Donation protected
James O'Donnell worked at the Amazon JFK8 Fulfillment Center in Staten Island, NY, and has been an outspoken supporter of the Amazon Labor Union.
James vocally objected to the lies spread by Amazon's union-busters in their captive audience meetings—meetings which NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo recently found to violate the National Labor Relations Act.
Just days after James gave an interview to More Perfect Union, expressing support for the union and criticism of Amazon's unfair wage policies, he was fired by Amazon management in retaliation.
James has been a victim of false accusations in the past and has suffered the severe consequences of such callous disregard for the truth. He spent two years behind bars for a crime that he did not commit, and was exonerated by DNA evidence in 2000 thanks to the efforts of the Innocence Project.

James needs your support to cover costs as we fight his unjust firing in the courts. We cannot allow Amazon to retaliate against our coworkers for supporting the union and standing up for democracy in the workplace.
