Always Hopeful - Lori Moise

Lori, a missionary nurse for 18 years at Real Hope For Haiti, was first diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2015 and was treated in Haiti with several surgeries. In Jan 2017, she was diagnosed with a recurrence of cancer and came to the United States for further testing and treatment.
This second journey with cancer is just starting and this time around, Lori greatly needs the support of her many friends, family and Real Hope for Haiti supporters around the world.
As a long term missionary, Lori has lived a sacrificial life - giving up not only the comforts of home, but also the ability to earn the type of living that a nurse in the US would make. She therefore is financially unprepared for the burden this cancer diagnosis will place on her meager savings.
Lori is most comfortable with helping OTHERS - thus her chosen profession. Accepting help for herself is a challenge for Lori - she has a servant's heart that desires to do good for others, thinking little of her own needs. Despite her own circumstances, she feels a heavy burden for all of the cancer patients she has nursed in the past, who are not as fortunate as she is to be able to travel to the United States for top quality care.
Lori's life is now going in a direction she did not anticipate. She expected to live out her days in Haiti, serving "the least of these". These adjustments are not easy, and Lori feels torn between her desire to care for the needs of others, and her own need for medical care at the moment.
Please join us in praying for Lori. Please pray for:
- Health and healing and restoration of her body.
- Encouragement and nourishment of her soul.
- Provision and wisdom regarding healthcare.
- Peace that passes all understanding, that is a result of sensing the nearness of God.
If you would like to support Lori financially during this time, we would be so grateful. Funds raised will be used to pay for insurance premiums, out of pocket medical expenses, gas, parking fees, and other unexpected expenses related to her treatments and relocation to the United States.
Thank you so much for your love and care for Lori! We know she has a big team of cheerleaders behind her, and we are excited to see how God will bless her!
