Alycia is an 18-year-old rising elite tennis player who recently decided to play tennis professionally, despite receiving several scholarships offers and letters of interest from many Division I colleges and universities which include NC State, LSU, Washington State Univ., GA Tech, Auburn and Duke, to name a few. She stands 6'1" and she weighs approximately 145 pounds.
Alycia has already obtained a WTA ranking, and she is quickly and remarkably increasing her ranking. She travels throughout the U.S. and internationally to compete in professional tournaments. Her skill level and athleticism are like no other. In fact, she recently learned that she has been given the name “The Cannon” by other touring players because her serve is so powerful and so loud that they say it “sounds like a cannon.” Her fastest serve has been clocked at 130 mph.
Since the beginning of this summer Summer (2019), Alycia’s ranking has increased by over 100 slots. This increase in ranking is due to her fighting through the qualifying rounds into the main draws and winning through to the main draws round of 16 in back-to-back tournaments. In fact, Alycia was a finalist in a $15K tournament in June 2019, and she also won a wildcard tournament to compete in the Innisbrook Open $80K tournament. Alycia is currently playing several tournaments this summer and into the fall season where she steadily increasing her ranking. At the rate that she is playing and steadily increasing her ranking, Alycia should reach close to the top 100 by the end of the year.
Alycia’s ultimate goal is to reach world number 1 and to win each grand slam tournament at least twice. For her to reach her goals, she needs financial support/sponsorship to help cover costs associated with travel to and from tournaments, lodging, equipment maintenance, and to cover coaching and training costs.
Alycia resides in Port Saint Lucie, FL and trains at Legacy Golf and Tennis with where she is coached by her dad and Aldo Burga. Alycia’s talent is so profound, she caught the attention of Venus Williams' long-time coach, David Witt, who expressed his want to coach her. It's no doubt that she has the skill, physique, and ambition to reach her goals.
Funding/sponsorship is greatly needed to cover training, travel, and equipment costs. Any amount is needed and sincerely appreciated. Thank you to everyone in advance.
