Alysha Warner Ovarian Cancer Expenses

Donation protected
After having 5 surgeries for bilateral mastectomy a couple years ago, and now fighting Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer I realize the burden deductibles alone create and how much is not covered by insurance. I have not been able to work since my June 15th 2020 diagnosis. I am very eager to get back to work as I absolutely love what I do, and the company I work for. They have been incredible through this. I just have to recover and heal.

I started having stomach issues April 2020, and went to the Emergency room June 15th 2020 to find out I have Ovarian Cancer. June 17th was Surgery to save my life. I would have been gone by July. I completed 6 rounds of carbotaxol. Jan 2021 I started lynparza, oral chemo. My dose has been reduced 3 times now and I am finally managing better. I have incredible pain in my hands and feet making walking and holding things difficult. Also at night my spine hurts so much I struggle to roll over. This is common with oral chemo. I am just now trying an infrared blanket to help with pain. I am refusing narcotics. Recently the oral chemo deteriorated the interior of my mouth and causes my lashes and eyebrows to fall out again. Insane. It's 90% better but Im still losing tissue under my tongue.
I have stage 3C Agressive Serous Carcinoma which Mastesised. They removed 70% of my colon. Cancer spread to 3 regions of it creating blockages. Thank God for amazing surgeons who saved my remaining colon. Complete hysterectomy. It also spread to the peritoneal, gallbladder,  etc...Basically the entire abdominal region.
I am very optimistic about my recovery and feel I will beat this. I am positive Brca1 which aids in being receptive to chemotherapy. It also meant I was likely to get Cancer. Three maternal aunts have had Ovarian Cancer. Two were stage 4 and they all beat it. With no reoccurrence! And we are certain my maternal grandmother also had ovarian cancer misdiagnosed as colon cancer which she passed from.
Turns out my prior obgyn found this "cyst" in 2019 and decided to "watch" it and wait 12 months to scan it. Wish I had a voice then and said "No, we wont wait a year". I hope this post helps save someone who is in the midst of self diagnosing or allowing a Dr to put off testing for a year to a patient known to be high risk. Thank you so much for all your prayers and well wishes! It means so much.
