Alyson Smith Breast Cancer Journey

My name is Sam, I'm Alyson's little sister. We have been overwhelmed with the outpour of love and prayers for Alyson in the last few weeks. We have had multiple people reach out and ask if we had a GoFundme started yet, the outpouring from people that want to help has been amazing

Alyson was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. On April 4th Alyson had a double mastectomy. She has been healing up from that in the last few weeks and on to the next step. This coming week she will have a bone scan performed while She is awaiting the pathology reports to decide what kind and how much chemotherapy she will need to do. We will try to keep everyone in the loop but please do not hesitate to reach out to myself (Sam) and I can give you the latest update. We are projecting her to be off of work for a minimum of 6 months, not including the time off she has already had. Right now we are just helping Alyson adjust to the new "slowed down" version of her life, that if you know her at all, you know she is NOT used to "sitting around" Funds raised will help her with bills and getting to and from the many doctor appointments she attends weekly. Even though the diagnosis was sudden, unfortunately Alyson has been feeling sick for awhile and it effected her being able to work as much as she would have in the past so there was not much time to "save up" for the time off she is looking at. Donations are nice but if nothing else, please send lots of prayers for good news & strength for this journey She and Henlee are on.
