Alzheimer's Support for Jim Geiser

My father was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease a couple years ago, but began suffering from the disease around 10 years ago. It started slowly but last year during the COVID lockdown the disease accelerated. He went from being able to hold a conversation to not knowing who people are. In the past few months he has become manic and is extremely difficult to care for.
The care up to this point has been handled mostly by my mother and sister. I have helped where I can. It case has become so extreme it is time to start considering putting him into a 24/7 care facility.
Because of the early affect of my father's condition my parents financial situation over the last 10 years has not been good. Though I help out where I can, their needs right now exceed my ability to provide it for them personally. Once my father is accepted to a facility the social security he gets will be garnished. This puts an already stressed financial situation into a worse situation. On top of which my father might be placed up to 100 miles from where they live. That distance with the state of their current car is going to be a problem for visiting him as the car is now worth less than what it would cost to fix.
The goal of this campaign is to try and raise enough money to remove some revolving debt so my mom can get into a decent place she can afford and get a used car that will not break down on her.
There is two ways people can help. This of course being the first way. The second way is that my father was an author. He wrote science fiction stories for young adults and adults. He wrote both novels and short stories. He was a struggling author as he was agented multiple times, but never got published. Towards the time he started to lose his ability to write he was talking about self publishing. I found that he had 10 complete works. So what I have done is setup a simple store to sell his books. Each book is listed at $10, and an entire collection is listed at $75. The store will allow you to buy the books and as soon as you check out will be available for direct download. If you know me personally and would prefer to buy the books through Venmo we can set that up too.
The store is located at https://store.jimdgeiser.com/shop/
All funds accepted through this campaign and the book sales will go towards helping make my father and mothers situation better. The sooner we can get some of the revolving debt down moving him into the home with the garnished social security will work. The days are getting worse and worse and the sooner the better. Thank you all for either reading through this or helping!
