Alzheimer's & the Magic Table

Hi, My name is Crystal Cesari and I am the Executive Director at Floral Creek an Alzheimer Special Care Center in Yardley, Pennsylvania. I have been working with seniors in various stages of Alzheimer's & Dementia for the past 20 year and strive to bring creative ways for our care staff and families to interact with our residents & loves one that can break through apathetic and restless and tense behavior to enhance positive interactions, as well as increase positive emotions in elderly people living with dementia.

We had an opportunity to experience th Tovertafel Magic Table and found that it promoted social bonding between those living with dementia, care professionals, fellow residents, and family members. This is important for both elderly people living with dementia, and those who care for them. The Tovertafel activates players and provides cognitive, physical, social, and sensory stimulation to help them live well.

Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase two of the Tovertafel Magic Tables which will allow us to not only further engage and connect with our residents but also to open up the experience to those outside of our community to create magical moments of engagment with there loved ones.

I hope we can count on your support to bring the Tovertafel Magic Table to those who whose lives have been impacted by Alzheimer's & Dementia.
