Kidney for Shannon
Donation protected
Aloha Friends and Families,
Our long time friend Shannon Cho is in need of some help from us. Last year he was hospitalized and found out that his kidney is not working so well anymore. In fact it's running at about 16% these days. In the last few months he's gone up to Seattle to do all the tests to see if he is a candidate for a new kidney and he has indeed passed the tests. But in order to even get on the donor list they are required to come up with their portion which is $4000.00. It may be awhile before he can even get a kidney but he can't even be in the running if he is not on the list.
Shannon and his family would never ask for help. They were thinking of doing this all on their own. But our ohana want to help them out. We are hoping that others would like to help out also.
I am asking for $7000.00 to help out with the amount to get on the list any other tests or procedures that may arise. We all know how costly any medical things are.
We also know that the holidays a quickly approaching but we appreciate any help you can give.
P.S. Our youngest daughter has already started fundraising by selling 120 musubi's last Sunday. And raised a little over $200.00. We will be coming up with other fundraising ideas to further help. Stay tuned for those.
Much mahalo for any and all your help!
