AMAIYA IS ON A PATH TO CHANGE THE WORLD!

Howard University has been my dream school ever since I was a little girl. In August of 2021, my dream became a reality. A lot of hard work and sacrifice over the next few years has brought me here today. I am currently a junior at Howard University (Psychology Major/Spanish Minor). I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, have made the Dean’s list every year and currently in the Honors Program. Last semester, by far was the toughest yet, but I managed to finish with a 4.0. I am now afforded a wonderful opportunity to study in Oaxaca, Mexico this summer. The program will focus on Spanish grammar and conversation courses, cooking, Latin dance classes, excursions to the ruins and so much more! Along with the ten credits that I began with (thank you AP classes), the six credits that I will receive from this program will allow me to graduate a FULL SEMESTER early.
