Amanda Baumgartner Family Fund

On December 7, 2016 Allan spent the day tending to the animals after the recent blizzard.  He was in the tractor most of the day blowing snow so that the family could get to town.   The family had been stranded at the farm for a couple days due to high snow drifts.  Later in the afternoon Allan came in to take a break and warm up before heading back out to do evening chores around 5.  When 6 came rolling around and he hadn't come back in,  Amanda started calling his phone to see what was taking so long, but he did not answer his phone.   Family members started searching the farm, but it was so cold and dark.  So Amanda called local law enforcement.   Shortly after, Allan's brother came running to the house screaming Allan is dead.  Amanda's worst thinking was true...her sweet man and the children's father was gone due to a massive heartattack.
The reason for the fundraiser is because Allan was unable to get life insurance due to a pre-existing heart condition.  Allan leaves his wife Amanda and 5 young children ages 6 to 16 at home.  
Allan was very involved in our small town.  He was active member of the Beaver Valley Horse Club, Strasburg Fire Department and within the Catholic Church.
