This is Jayneen Thornton and I am a family friend of Amanda Cisneros. It is with a heavy heart that I prepare this GoFundMe to assist with the funeral costs and medical bills that Amanda's mother, Kristina Cisneros is dealing with at a time she should be mourning the loss of her daughter. For those of you that don't know, Amanda had been hospitalized for over a year fighting for her life once her breast cancer has spread throughout her body. Her mother Kristina was at the hospital everyday with Amanda as her Mother, protector, advocate, secondary nurse, prayer warrior and all-around Mental, Emotional and Physical Support System. This Mother and Daughter duo in the darkest hours leaned into one another and their bond became stronger than ever as Amanda fought the good fight with mom alongside. There were so many moments of happiness as Amanda's health initially continued to improve from when she was admitted into the hospital. The odds were stacked against Amanda but she is a fierce warrior princess and proved all the doctors wrong when they had only given her a few days to live. Kristina and JP were with Amanda the day she received this news from the Dr., Amanda let Kristina and JP know that was not going to happen. She was ready to fight and this was not her time. We were all ready to stand behind Amanda as we knew if anyone could beat this horrible disease, she could. Amanda's strong will, stubbornness and perseverance were going to see her through the days to come. Little did we all know that not only Amanda but all those that came in contact with her throughout her fight would be touched by her strength and ability to still smile, laugh and touch others even during her most painful and sick times. Amanda had found Christ again and accepted him as her Lord and Savior. He had never left her but was patiently waiting for her to seek him again and she did. I could go on and on but this young woman is gone too soon and missed by so many. We feel so blessed and grateful that we were able to be with Amanda during her last earthly breaths. Kristina, Gloria, Jose, Deanna, Shawn, JP and Myself were able to hold her in our arms as we prayed and let her know how much we love her and how proud of her we all are. She fought the good fight and ran her race. Amanda's last breaths were taken as she held her mother's hand and they looked into each other's eyes. They spoke to each other without words and it was angelic and heavenly to be witness to this moment between mother and daughter. No parent should ever lose a child. That is the worst type of pain anyone could experience. As the days go on and Kristina learns to continue her earthly life without Amanda's physical presence, I wanted to create this GoFundMe to alleviate some of the financial stresses so she can focus on healing her broken heart. Your donation is greatly appreciated as Kristina has had to take time from work over the past year in a half to care for Amanda and is not emotionally ready to go back to work full-time yet. I know Kristina wants to thank everyone and is deeply moved by the outpouring of love that has been sent her way during this very difficult time. God Bless You All!
