Amanda Finn’s Medical Expenses

Hey friends! My name is Mary Prestridge and I am fundraising for Amanda Finn. Amanda is a mentor for SO many people in CenLa. She has been a cheer coach in the area for about 21 years! She is also a teacher at Tioga Junior High. In addition to teaching and coaching, Amanda owns ‘Flippin’ Out Tumbling’ where she coaches young athletes on the basics of tumbling.

Amanda has recently been diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma (brain tumor). She will have a sub-occipital craniotomy on Tuesday, March 21 to remove the tumor. This is a very invasive surgery. She will lose all hearing in her right ear, have to relearn how to walk, balance, etc.

Amanda will spend a MINIMUM of one week in the hospital. She won’t be able to drive for a while, and she will be out of work for a minimum of 4 weeks.

During this time, she will only receive 65% of her pay. On top of that, insurance is only covering 3 days in the hospital. No physical therapy, no anesthesia, no meds, etc.
