Amanda Foote House Fund!

Friends of Amanda have watched her persevere through trial after trial. Two weeks ago, a fire caused the loss of two sheds that sheltered animals on her property.

On Friday night, Amanda was celebrating the arrival of her new home- the first half of a double wide trailer, which her sister and friends of the family had helped purchase for her. It was delivered on Friday afternoon. She and a friend were cooking dinner in the home on the FIRST night it was on her property, and Friday’s 100+ mph winds picked it up and flipped it over with Amanda and her friend still inside.

Miraculously, they both escaped with minor injuries, but as the winds have continued, the house has been damaged more and more. The trailer had insurance while being transported, but in the gap between being fully installed and delivered, insurance will not cover the damages.

If you’re a friend of Amanda, you know she works harder and longer hours than just about anyone else you know. She’s creative, determined and resilient. Even after the house flipped over, she was back at work the next day with hairline fractures in her arm.

They hope that some of the trailer will be salvageable, but it will need extensive structural repairs, and the inside will need to to be completely gutted and restored.

Additionally, with the wind and fire damage to her structures on her ranch, she will need some funds for building new shelters for her animals.
