Amanda Hudgens Hinds Courage for Chemo
Donation protected
If you know Amanda, you know she is a devoted mom who loves spending time with her son. At her work in construction, she has always found great worth in doing a job well and improving homes. Amanda is not one to readily share her problems, but rather she loves to joke and post funny memes to make others happy. However, she recently bravely opened up to make an exception due to her health problems.
Amanda previously fought cervical cancer and learned about a year ago that it had metastasized to her colon. She started treatment with oral medications, but they haven’t been effective. Her doctors informed her last week it will require five weeks of chemotherapy to fight it. She has just started treatments this week, which is leaving her feeling sick and fatigued, too sick to work. Her teenage son has been her rock throughout this difficult time, and she wants to be able to provide for him while also facing at least $2,500 in copays for her treatments and time off work for appointments and recovery.
