Hello, as many of you may know, I am Ashley and I have been one of Amanda’s closest friends for 21 years.
I was asked by both Amanda’s mom Laura and her husband Mike, to please get this started… ALL proceeds will go directly to the cost of services, burial, and a beautiful headstone for Amanda, as she deserves nothing but the best.
With that being said, Amanda was visiting her mother’s house with Mike, and started to suffer from a debilitating headache and just wasn’t herself.
Ultimately, on Friday Amanda was rushed to the hospital and it was discovered that she had suffered from a stroke, that sadly was unknown to herself, Mike, or Laura, and she was admitted. Sadly, she progressively worsened over the weekend, suffering from additional strokes and seizures. Her body became partially paralyzed, she wasn’t able to speak clearly, and was steadily worsening. She started spiking fevers and what seemed to be going in an out of actually being aware of her surroundings, her body was beginning to shut down.
Early Monday morning, about 3 am, the family received the worst call one could ever receive. Amanda had worsened and was now in a coma. One last test was done for any sign of brain activity and unfortunately there was no activity. The hard decision was then made to remove all life support.
Sadly and so unfortunately, Amanda passed away, surrounded by those she loved, around 6:30 pm, on Monday October 10th, in Beth Israel hospital.
Anyone who knew Amanda, knows how big and loving her heart was. She was so full of life and wanted nothing but the best for everyone she loved. Sure, she had her struggles through the years, but she had finally gotten her life together and was living a truly beautiful life, that she wholeheartedly deserved. She got married to the love of her life, had a beautiful apartment with 2 beautiful pups, she has a beautiful daughter, Alanna, as well as a bonus daughter Kali whom she loved so very much. She had plans and goals and was getting ready to begin school and further her education. She had a beautiful relationship with her mom and she cared so deeply about those she loved.
Losing Amanda, especially being so young and full of life, has truly devastated her mom, husband, in-laws, her extended family, and all of her friends.
With this happening so quickly and unexpectedly, the family needs some help in order to give Amanda the send off to heaven, that she truly deserves! Anyone who knows Amanda, knows that she would do all she could for anyone who needed something, so let’s try and come together and make this a little easier for her family! Please donate what you can. Even a share helps!
The Ramos, Lareau, and Hilerio family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown love and respect for Amanda, and thank you all in advance for any and all assistance!
Update on services will be provided, when everything is finalized.
