Amanda Michalak needs our help!

Hello! I wouldn't be doing this for Amanda if it wasn't extremely necessary. Many of you have been asking about how you can help. Doing this fundraiser for Amanda & Matt is the best way I can tell you how.

For those of you that don't know her, Amanda has been really sick for a very long time - years. Well, everything came to a head a month ago when she developed Sepsis and was admitted to the hospital. After two weeks at one, she was transferred to another hospital to get the care that had been neglected at the first hospital. Two days after arriving, Amanda went into Septic shock with multi-system organ failure. She almost died on October 16th. They did emergency surgery to find out what was going on. She did have to have part of her colon removed. But the doctors don't feel that this is the cause of the Sepsis. She is being tested for very rare diseases. They are calling her their medical anomaly.

Since then, some of her organs have come back to life but her kidneys have suffered the most. They do not work at all and don't seem to be coming back. As I write this, Amanda is still in ICU. We are praying that she doesn't go into Septic shock again (which could happen). She hasn't been able to work at all for a very long time and now has a long road ahead of her medically and emotionally.

To top it off, her husband Matt had just been let go from his job right before all of this happened. Talk about the stress this poor man has been under - no job and his wife is fighting to survive.

I know that any amount you can spare will help them stay afloat financially. Between medical bills and all the other regular monthly bills, things are getting pretty desperate. Every little bit helps, and it all adds up. If you can't help financially, please pray for both Amanda and Matt.
