Amanda Rae & Kennedy Need a Car

My name is Kate and I am starting this fundraiser to help a very special woman and her daughter to purchase a vehicle.

I have recently gotten to know Amanda Rae after the death of someone close to us both. She is an Army veteran, first responder, and the widow of a police officer. Amanda Rae and Kennedy lost their beloved husband and father, Lt. Christopher Button, to suicide in 2018. She founded and pours her heart and soul into UnButton the Stigma, an organization aiming to raise awareness of law enforcement and first responder mental health issues, and support families who have also lost a loved one to suicide.

Last week, Amanda Rae and Kennedy were in a car accident and although they are physically ok, the vehicle has been deemed totaled. Due to financial hardships related to her husband’s suicide, it is not possible for her to secure a car loan at this time. I want to help them lighten this burden because they have been through so much. Amanda Rae is a kind and selfless soul who dedicates so much to helping others…let’s take this opportunity to help her!
