Amanda Schmidt Memorial Fund

Amanda was a light in our lives and a bright ray of sunshine that brought warmth and happiness everywhere she went. Amanda is a beautiful child of God who lived a large life full of laughter, love, and pure emotion. Amanda existed here on earth to be a part of our lives. She loved to connect with people. She was one of the rare breed of people who truly wanted to know about your life. She was inquisitive and had the ability to make her friends and family comfortable enough to divulge their true selves. Amanda was the best friend a person could have; she truly cared.

Amanda loved her family. She often told stories of her parents, her sisters, and she especially liked to tell the love story of her grandparents whom she adored.  Amanda was old fashioned in her ideas of love and family. She would share her mother's home cooked food with us, making everyone taste the family recipes. She respected her mixed heritage and loved to tell everyone about her family.

Amanda had an "old-world" vibe, and it was apparent to anyone who knew her that she had a deep and wise soul. Amanda could size you up with one glance and know your intentions. She was in tune with the universe, she was sure of herself and dedicated to the things that she loved.

Amanda was the best hairdresser a person could be. Because of her natural talent for making friends and her unrivaled caring nature, she developed relationships with a host of loyal clients whom she considered her extended family. She would sit for hours with people, talking, laughing, and sometimes crying discussing in depth what her clients were going through in their lives; all while exhibiting a keen eye for style and the skills of a master technician. Amanda would not only service the hair of a client, Amanda would service the soul.

Amanda will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her giant smile and her hilarious "eye rolls" will live on in our souls as we try to match the love and care that Amanda demonstrated in her life.

The Benefactor of this memorial fund is Amanda's mother, Linda Marin, and will be used for funeral services and to tie up any of Amanda's loose ends.

The memorial and celebration of life will be held sometime in early September, please stay in touch for further information.

Thank you all.
