Amanda Snell’s Memorial Service

My name is Emma. I’m one of Amanda’s friends since childhood.

On behalf of Amanda’s family I have started this go fund me fundraiser to help lesson the financial stress on Amanda’s family and to allow us all to say our goodbyes and give Amanda the send off she deserves.

As most of us have heard by now, our beautiful, much loved by all, Amanda Sarah Ivy Snell, passed away Friday 30th June, after succumbing to an infection.

Mother to Hayden and Matilda, daughter to Glyn and Kathy (deceased), baby sister to Michael, granddaughter, Aunty, niece, cousin and friend to many.

Amanda and her young daughter Matilda had very recently gone to Queensland to stay with her brother Michael for an extended holiday to rest and recover after becoming unwell and spending almost a month in hospital.

While Amanda was holidaying, resting and recovering she became unwell again and was admitted to hospital where she became gravely ill from a super bug in her blood.

Her body wasn’t strong enough to fight it.

Michael had the heart wrenching job of making the decision to permit them to turn off her life support and allow Amanda to stop her fight and suffering.

As a single mum to her beautiful children and young woman of only 40, Amanda didn’t plan for her unexpected and untimely death.

I have created this GoFundMe account in hopes we can raise money to get Amanda home and give her the memorial and send off she deserves, where everyone who loved her can come together and share memories and celebrate her life.

What ever money is remaining will go toward her children to give support where ever needed.

Thank you for your generosity. It will ease the financial burden on her family and allow for a more seamless process to plan her celebration of life.
