Amanda Walsh (“Harb”) needs our help
Donation protected
On October 6th, 2023, at the young age of 37, Amanda received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. She has since found out that it is triple negative (TNBC). Although it is still early we know that she will need chemotherapy and surgery, very soon.
Amanda spent many years operating a successful day home shaping the hearts and minds of many young children. In the past number of years, Amanda has met the two loves of her life, her partner Adam, and his young son, William, who stole her heart from the very beginning and affectionately knows her as “Bonus Mom”. Given how big her heart is, it is natural that she and Adam would like to add to their family, and have a child of their own.
As you may know, with a cancer diagnosis comes a lot of other concerns. Amanda has now begun the necessary process of freezing her eggs before chemotherapy starts to further ensure their ability to have a child down the road. This includes very expensive medications, private clinic costs and a trip to Toronto in early November for the procedure.
Amanda has had many obstacles in the last number of years and has overcome them all. She is strong, resilient and we are confident she will overcome this as well. With her permission, we are asking for financial help to relieve some of the burden they will endure over the coming months for fertility and cancer treatments, and living expenses.
We thank you in advance for any support to help our beautiful sister and friend, Amanda, aka “Harb”.
