Amanda Weisel & Good Shepherd Farm

Hello everyone. My name is Marjorie Barthel and I am one of Amanda's best friends. This is Amanda with her farm hand and best friend, Rio :) Amanda has always been an animal lover and has worked at the Cincinnati Zoo for years. She is also very passionate about sustainable farming. She bought property in Indiana to begin building a farm and her dream. From this came Good Shepherd Farm! She has made her dream come true! I can't express how proud of her I am, along with so many others that feel the same. So far she has been successful in raising produce, chickens, eggs, and pigs with more to come in the future. She has worked her butt off!!! Amanda is one of the best humans I know. She is funny, real honest lol, and dedicated to her friends, family, Rio and her farm. That is why I am here to try to help her. Amanda was just diagnosed with breast cancer in January. It is the most common form of cancer and the survival rate is high but by no means does that mean this will be easy for her physically, mentally, and financially. She has a long road ahead with more questions to be answered including surgeries and whatever else that could entail all of which is starting in just a few weeks. She will be swamped with medical bills while she is fighting and recovering from this, along with the cost of being able to keep her farm up. It is very overwhelming. It's easy to feel useless in these situations not knowing what to do or how to be able to help her. Well, there is something we can all do to help her, please donate what you can for her. She has enough of an uphill battle with this shit they call cancer. F*@# cancer. Let's make it a little easier for her to concentrate on beating the shit out of this than having her focus on the financial burdens she will endure. Thank you all so much for anything you can give.
