Amanda's Fight: Overcoming Thyroid Cancer Together
Donation protected
After having recently said "I do", this is meant to be the happiest time in Amanda and Josh's lives.
Instead, less than two months after exchanging vows, the newlyweds were met with extreme adversity. Amanda went in for a routine doctor's appointment and was alarmed when the doctor noticed a lump in her neck. Soon after, Amanda was officially diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma.
Amanda had surgery to remove her thyroid in January, keeping the cancer from spreading to other parts of her body, but that came at a cost.
The cost of having to put their plans of starting a family on hold, the cost of serious emotional strain on their precious first year of marriage, and the financial cost of Amanda's medical needs.
The surgery alone was $3300, but the appointments that came before and will follow as she continues to fight are between $30-50 each. Sadly, Amanda does not know if she will need further treatments in the coming months, and that uncertainty is nerve-wracking.
As Amanda's best friend, I know she does not enjoy being in the position to need financial support, but life.
If you have the means to give her and Josh some much needed help during this unexpectedly difficult time, it would be incredibly appreciated.
